Solid defence held off most everything that Newcastle threw at
us. Scrum was a weapon until the subs. No obvious weak
performances. Jibulu showed well off the bench again. As did
Smith with his millimetre perfect kick for Tyrone's try.

Ah it's a superb finish but the kick was overcooked which is why
that finish was needed...

Marcus hasn't been with the lads long enough to have noticed
Tyrone has lost a yard of pace...

No bait, it wasn't a great kick but it was turned into a try by
a great finish. Marcus tries those a lot and he's not the best
at them!

Great to watch some really entertaining rugby. Our defence was
unusually good in the first ten minutes when Newcastle had all
the possession. Three great offloads in succession for Nick
David's try, another from Finn Baxter to put Dommers away and an
absolute world-class finish from Tyrone (despite a worrying lack
of pace). It was really good to watch and I thought Dommers,
Baxter and David looked exceptionally sharp today.

I'll take the bait. You can watch it again here it is not a bad
kick.

The kick is perfect length right on the touch line but not over
it. You might argue he could have kick it a yard shorter, but
that would mean the ball getting there earlier so Tyrone
wouldn't have got there. So next bit would be holding a fraction
of a second then kicking to allow Tyrone more time, well look at
reply and you'll see how he taken out the second he kicks it, so
that wasn't an option. Maybe possibly, he could have kicked it
higher for more hang time to give Tyrone a yard but really?

It's only a try because of Green's superlative athleticism. 99
times out of 100 that's not a try. Maybe I'm being generous.

Can't argue with that. But it's a great kick and a great finish,
if one or the other is off just little bit it's no try. There
might be 1% margin for error but the fact they both executed
within that margin is simply brilliant.

A strange thing to write but once again good defence (maybe just
maybe that’s a thing now).
A little embarrassing the scrum fell apart once joe came on.
But otherwise - v happy with our 9/10 regardless if DC and
Marcus play or not. Which is some statement.
