On his day he is a great player, but that day is few and far
between as he has a fairly poor injury record. It was a bit of a
gamble giving him a new contract, and as club captain is
probably not on peanuts as a salary. At this stage in career he
surely needs to take stock of things, as when you are out more
than playing it should be a sign your body isn't up to it.

We now have an embarrassment of riches in the back row. Lawday
appears to have been relegated to the Prem Cup squad. It's harsh
for a player of his calibre but Dommers, Kenningham, Evans, Chis
and CCS all ahead of him in the pecking order.
Nornally I'd rather see Chis or CCS starting at 6 but I assume
given the weather conditions the coaches are prioritising
another quality jumper at lineout time. And with Kenningham out
       Lamb fits the bill.

I was surprised he returned after splitting his knee cap.
Let's face it, Launchbury is a nailed on starter with Herbst as
his back up in the enforcer role.
So if he can get himself fit, Lewies is up against Dino who's
been excellent for the last 18-months or so and Hammond, who's
       started the season incredibly well.
We're also stacked in the back row so limited opportunities for
       him at 6 you'd think.

Riley and Jibulu have gone pretty well so far, and Walker
probably needs time to adjust to the new lineout calls given
he's never thrown to Launchbury before.

Is walker back with the squad? They released pics of marler,
smith and Lewis but no care, walker or estherhuizen.
Estherhuizen and walker have barely played so you'd hope they'll
be back next week. Think Andre needs to sober up first
Good team that. Lawday will get his chance as injuries mount up.

I’m sure Danny said he was doing something directly after WC in
one of the podcasts. That might be why he’s not in the squad
       yet.

Before I start my 2.5hr journey does anyone have an update on
the conditions at Twickenham in particular the Rosebine car
park. I.E is it ok or underwater
