Just announced but widely expected. It would be great if Quinssa
could get him along for one last "Meet the ref" evening so we
can give him a proper send off.

Going out at the top, while still at his best.
18 years as an international referee is a good career.
Let's hope he helps mentor the next generation.

I'm surprised he didn't think about it and then ask a TV ref if
it was the right thing to do.
Still, he's now got 2,000 billable hours to hit at Squire
Patton. I'd rather have Faz in my face for 80 minutes every now
and then.

He's been a great referee and a great communicator with the
players (sometimes even in French). He deserved his chance to
ref the RWC final. I think he's correctly identified now is the
right time for him to go, I thank him for what he's done for
rugby and hope he continues to have a part in shaping the new
crop of referees.

RFU have beaten us to it!!! An evening with Wayne on 19th
January……£69!!!!!
