Well played SA. Heck of a game.
Andre is our very own RWC winner.

Well done SA. Not a great spectacle. Exciting as it was always
close but not a lot of great play.
NZ had chances to win it but a yellow and a red is making life
       hard for yourself

This will only encourage Borthwick to believe that the way to
win is fierce defence and kick as much as possible. There is no
       need for an attacking game.

In the pouring rain, that can work.
But you need to be able to tackle for 8 minutes.

I presume Andre can play as of next week as I saw Finn Russell
playing for bath and he had more game time at the World Cup than
       Andre did

I don’t think this is incorrect. The 2003 team was built this
way too, as was the 2007 final side. The 2019 side couldn’t
       handle it.
The boks side 2018-2023 is probably the best tournament side of
all time. It’s clear that’s borthwicks blueprint.
I’ll continue to watch us throw it about for entertainment but
winning international tournaments requires a different style
entirely. Which is a shame, because players like Marcus will
never get used to their best.

NZ would probably disagree, not least because between 2011 and
2019 they won 18 world cup matches in a row - most of them by
huge scores - including 2 titles and a semi-final in that time,
plus six Rugby Championship titles to SA's 1.
I think you're also doing SA a disservice, even in that horrific
semi-final against us they tried to play at least some rugby.
The 2003 England side was born out of the all-court-game of the
2000-2002 side. It was more pragmatic but there was no
difficulty scoring tries and the back three were constantly
involved in attack and with ball in hand. It's an England team
that wanted to attack sides - and to be honest, no side in
international rugby kicked the ball away that much in that
period, it wasn't until around 2007 when it became extremely
       popular thanks to law changes.
The 2007 side is the closest comparison but even they tried to
use Tait, Lewsey, Robinson et al. This England side is worse
than the worst of the Johnson era when it comes to refusing to
       play with ball in hand.
