Wow. Couldn't crack Bucks or West Mids so now trying Kent. I'd
love to see them back but where is the support coming from? Are
Kent crying out for a Prem rugby team?

They really haven't learned their lesson have they! This isn't
the USA... people don't like franchises.
Just invest in Sevenoaks.... and call it Sevenoaks Rugby!

More Quins shirts on the platforms of local stations on match
days than football shirts. I am not sure they will get a great
welcome (I say this having moved from Orpington to Shropshire 7
years ago, but I am sure it will still be true)

The proposed location is near the M20 J1/M25 J3 junction from
the description on Sevenoaks council website, nearest rail
station being Swanley, and closer to Orpington than Sevenoaks.
Not sure if there are any watering holes in walking range and
there would probably be a need for shuttle buses from a local
rail hub; this points to a reliance on road travel to matches.
Would the site allow parking space for the size of crowds needed
to sustain a Premiership rugby club without sugar daddy funding?
The council website is also looking at locations for the next 15
years so not sure how soon this could happen if given the go
ahead.

Just looked at that Sevenoaks Council post. That is a terrible
location in an area I know well. You would need a bus, unless
you want lots of squashed Wasps on the M25. I think the nearest
pub is the Pied Bull in Farningham.

Sevenoaks Rugby alsready exists and plays in National 2 East,
along with Westcombe Park, now based in Orpington, Tonbridge
Juddians and Canterbury.
Aside Blackheath and Charlton - both subsumed by London, only
Gillingham plays at a higher level in any sport other than
cricket.
Between them, they do not have enough fans to make Wasps viable.
I would suggest that if they want to be based in Kent, the
obvious route would be a ground share at Gillingham, although
you cannot fit a full sized rugby pitch as, like all soccer
stadiums, the ground is too short - oddly the Premiership do not
require it. Weirdly, Leicester were the worst offenders, despite
having built their own stadium specifically for rugby.
Preistfield has a capacity of 11,000, far more tan Wasps will
need until they make the European quarter-finals. Gillingham
have been looking to redevelop or move for years, and a joint
use stadium would surely make a lot of sense.
It would also mean they played in front of the Brian Moore
Stand.

Most Gillingham folk I know (only a few, but representative) are
football mad - "I can't spell rugby" one of them used to tell
me. Not sure it would supported apart from Sid and Doris
Bonkers.

Not on my watch!
Really random location without much obvious benefits. Pretty
sure they are just chucking a dartboard at a map of the UK and
then deciding that's the new home.
