Ahh, yes, I see that now! Mind you, the only thing wrong with
the first one was Green's terrible attempt to catch it with his
stomach.

The more I see of Exeter's approach to the breakdown, the less I
like it. They pile in multiple players at a height where there's
almost zero chance of them staying on their feet. I don't
understand how they are allowed to get away with it

Glad to get the win and deny Chiefs a LBP, but also disappointed
we didn’t get a TBP. Looked flat in the second half and couldn’t
have had many complaints if Chiefs had nicked it, thankfully
they didn’t

Baxter & Collier did well, Lynagh looked sharper, David was
great at FB, J Evans played well too. Very concerned about Luke
going off... looked nasty.

A word for Exe - it's pretty incredible that they have dealt so
well with losing so many key players between seasons, plus over
the year or two prior. It also looks like Baxter isn't so wedded
to the turgid stuff any more.

More to do with clever Chiefs play methinks.

They were tricky to deal with at times but the defence looked a
bit weak on numerous occasions.

They played very flat with supporting runners and frequently got
players through gaps because of it. I thought our defence held
up pretty well in general, we also had the better of them at the
breakdown.
2 teams both trying to play a bit. I thought it was a pretty
good game.

A somewhat bizarre match. Exeter looked the better side for
large parts of the first half, but were wasteful in attack while
Quins were clinical (a pleasing role-reversal from the norm).
And then it became Quins' turn to waste chances and let them
back in, but some excellent work at the breakdown kept our noses
ahead. I really love the Kenningham/Evans combination as two
genuine jackal threats, combined with the ballast and nous of
Launchbury and Dommers. Hoping/quietly expecting a very good
season this year, looking at the talent available to us and the
progress being made by the younger squad members (Baxter,
Joseph, Beard, Jibulu et al).
Did anyone with a better view see what happened with the
Hodge/Green aerial collision? From my somewhat obscured vantage
point in the East Stand it looked like a pretty clear penalty
against Tyrone, but obviously there was more to it than met the
eye.

Well their 11 looked pretty clever on his own in the middle of
the pitch a few times IIRC.
