I'm told by people that know him, that Owen is a really nice
bloke and is extremely likeable. I can well believe this as Owen
the player is likely to be a very different beast. But the two
shouldn't affect each other. I've also known a few a-holes who
were very good rugby players.

Telegraph reporting that Owen has extended Conor O'Shea's
contract, plus he's approved another 10% pay rise for Sweeney.

Fairs, fair Deadly. I think you're a great individual but I do
get frustrated when you kick your beer away, every time you walk
past the half-way line!!!

I'm just looking forward to when Owen does retire from
international rugby and loses his hold over England.
I'm certain there will be a raft of articles/comments from the
more current junior squad members/apprentices etc that Owen
created a toxic environment and was a control freak who stifled
everyone around him.

Must be mistaken identity. Deadly has a beer kicking butler, I
believe...

He's just turned 32 so I'd completely expect him to be aiming
for the 2027 at age 36, given he's seen Sexton make a good run
of it.

He is so crucial to the England team that I expect he will be
there in 2031.

Sexton played about 5 games for Leinster and maybe 10 games for
Ireland each season for most of his time aside from when he was
at Racing. Faz has had a much harder paper round so I'd be
surprised if he's still going at 36. Wouldn't rule it out
though.

Thanks A222Q, always my favourite point when everyone raves
about Ireland......it's easy when you play less games than the
oppo. Accepting that Sexton was rested more than most
