I’m really trying to not adopt a Quinsian anti-OF mindset but
what are these high standards that he sets on and off the pitch
that everyone goes on and on and on about? The bloke ran out of
time with the kick, that really is amateurish.

He also timed out the first penalty - the one that took him
ahead of Wilkinson - but they didn't penalise him.
One of the worst performances from Farrell I can remember, and
I've seen a lot of really dreadful displays from him in an
England shirt. And he's likely to be rewarded with the starting
10 shirt for the QF.

I didn't watch the game, but was listening to the last 25
minutes on the radio, and the line from Dawson was basically
"why take off Ford & leave Farrell on?" You want your attacking
players on when you're 6 points down with 20 mins to go, and
that at the moment are Ford & Smith, not Farrell".

Again, not wishing to use
Quartered specs, but for goodness sake - Faz should retire now.
He has the record - now go away and let players who know what
they are doing take over.

Poor Marcus got hardly any opportunity to enhance himself. Danny
played well for the short time he was on - made a difference,
but yes, I can see Youngs & Mitchell lining up for the Q/F.

Was at the game, difficult to sit through that, not seen any
post match comments from coaching staff, no doubt full of praise
how this incredible tight knit group stuck with it for the win.
Great to see how the great leader of men rallied the troops to
get the job done.

Somebody in the coaching setup must have noticed that we play
badly with Faz on the pitch. Everyone else has.
That performance was back to how we were pre World Cup and
but for a contentious call for a Samoan try and a darting DC
we’d have lost and been playing the Welsh next week. I’ve lost
all confidence in them again.

We had already won the group regardless of the result.

Yes. they probably went out not caring if they lost another
unbeaten record against a tier 2 side.
