Next Saturday......

Still stunned that we play the Baa Baas at the same time as we
play Nottingham away AND trying to compete with an England RWC
game.......REALLY interesting to see how many turn up at the
Stoop..... MUST have been another night we could have played the
BBs surely?????

Our academy is the biggest it has ever been. Depending on London
Scottish commitments we should be fine.

Maybe it's predicated on getting as many in the ground as
possible to watch Baa Baas and England game

There's also the fact that the BaaBaas have been in demand by a
lot of sides this year in order to fill up a club's calendar
with games that they can sell tickets to. So we have to work
around the BaaBaas calendar for once.
I'd guess that it's easier to sell a ticket to a game featuring
a large chunk of the Quins first team and a side with a
sprinkling of international quality players, renowned for
playing expansive rugby than to sell a ticket to a game between
a largely academy side and a championship side.

Hasn’t the magic of the BA’Ba’s been diminished as there is a
World Cup on

The club are also trying to get people in early with £5 beer for
the first hour after gates open.

I think we have a fairly strong squad for the start of the
season.
Based off a few things, I would go for:
1. Baxter
2. Riley
3. Collier
4. Launchbury
5. Lewies
6. Chisholm
7. Evans
8. Dombrandt
9 Porter
10. Evans
11. Murley
12. Northmore
13. Joseph
14. Lynagh
15. David (Only just, depending on Green getting more match
sharp).
16. Els
17. Jibulu
18. Chawatama
19. Hammond
20. Kenningham
21. Green (Max)
22. Slevin
23. Green
I'd rather have a fit Chisholm at 6, as I think he suits that
role better than Kennignham, but its a tough call. Only issue is
centre cover off the bench

Looks a good team.
I think I would put Irné on the bench instead on Hammond. But, I
would probably put Hammond in the starting 15 if Lewies is not
100% fit.
I agree with your Chis v Kenners point. I think that Kenners is
a good bench option as he can cover 6 + 7.
I wonder if Jibulu has done enough to be starting? He looked
very good last week.
I suspect that Botta may displace Els on the bench.
One option for centre would be Sean Kerr. He looks in good form
this season and he is a very good goal kicker. Then again, I
think that Tyrone could step in to the kicker role in an
emergency.
So, that gives a good few options for a centre on the bench. I
suspect it will be:
16. Botta
17. Jibulu
18. Chawatama
19. Herbst
20. Kenningham / Chisholm
21. Green (Max)
22. Slevin
23. Anyanwu

Lewies was pulled from this game, not sure why and hope he’s not
out for long so will he be available to play?
