Harlequins have named its matchday squad for Friday night's
Premiership Rugby Cup fixture against Gloucester Rugby at
Kingsholm Stadium (KO 19:45 - live on TNT Sports).
Billy Millard's side features a number of changes following last
week's 21-21 draw with Coventry, with Club Captain Stephan
Lewies named to make his return. The 31-year-old will earn his
59th appearance and his first since March.
Elsewhere, the forward pack has been bolstered by the return of
Sam Riley at hooker, with Jordan Els named at loosehead. Jack
Kenningham starts at openside and Tom Lawday shifts to number
eight. Prop Lovejoy Chawatama and flanker Matas Jurevicius make
       their third consecutive appearance.
In the backs, there's a new halves combination with Lewis
Gjaltema starting at scrumhalf, alongside playmaker Will
Edwards. Louis Lynagh makes his return from injury on the left
wing, with Oscar Beard earning a start on the right. Lennox
Anyanwu makes his first appearance of the season at inside
centre alongside debutant Will Joseph. Tyrone Green resumes at
       fullback for his 51st appearance.
Amongst the Impact Players there's a potential Harlequins debut
for Joe Launchbury, with the second-row named in the squad for
the first time this season. New signing Max Green will also look
to make his first appearance in Quins colours.
Director of Rugby Billy Millard commented: "It's been a good
week of training. The squad have worked hard and we're looking
forward to the challenge against Gloucester. They're always
tough at home but we're excited to see how our squad responds."

We seem to be fielding a very strong team.
       Especially compared to Glos.

Looks like our approach to the tournament is 'everyone gets a
go' with stronger teams for premiership teams. Not what I was
expecting, and not what Gloucester seem to be doing.

I'm not so sure - Glaws' team has a fair few frontline players
playing too... Llewellyn, Atkinson, Evans, Socino, Ackermann,
Donnell starting and then McGuigan, Fasogbon, Ludlow on the
bench - all of those would expect to regularly make matchday
squads during the Prem season and the majority would be
       regularly expecting to start.

The commentator butchered an impressive proportion of the
squad's names while reading them out. Hopefully the referee will
just asusme that they are different players and penalise the
non-existent ones rather than the ones on the pitch.

Two tries for Gloucester, both from missed tackles by our
wingers. Out of position for both. Things can only get better
       right!

Anyanwu appears to have turned up, but few other players. Good
to see Lynagh and Joseph getting back but HOW did they fail to
       tackle?
