       Car parking for tomorrow

Hi all. Sorry you probably get lots of these - but my son and I
are coming up to the England v Fiji match tomorrow and its the
first time I've been up your way for 20 years. I can see there
is the Arragan Car Park on London Road but last time we parked
at the Stoop. I can't find any info online (and can't get
through on phone) to find out if we can (and need to) book a
parking space at the Stoop + it would also be handy to know (if
we can't book in advance) if we are likely to get in either of
those car parks if getting to them at about 12 o'clock.
       Any advice gratefully received!
       Thanks

It's hard to say. I'm not sure what the arrangements are at the
Stoop (the Rosebine is used by the RFU on Twickenham match days
and will probably be booked up), but Arragon Road would normally
be fine around that time of day...
Unfortunately, though, there's a train strike and it looks like
a lot more people have been planning to drive. We sometimes book
a driveway to park on, but when looked into it but there was
literally one driveway available, and at an extortionate price.
It would be worth ringing the club to see if they do have
parking available, but if you can't book something and can't
arrive earlier you might be better off planning on parking
further out and getting a bus or even walking in.

Many thanks Poorfour - good advice. Ooops, should have sorted
       parking out earlier!

Hi Rich. We've made a late decision to go as well and used the
Just Park app to find someones driveway, a 15 min walk from HQ.
Charged £25 but worth it to be within walking distance.

Thanks Banstead Quin. Think I'm a bit late looking on that
site. Think we will just leave early and if Arragon no good the
get the nearest place we can near a main road for a bus. Might
end up back at Bristol at this rate!

You can usually park in one of the car parks near Hounslow East
tube station and get the shuttle bus to Twickenham from outside
the station. Check the bus is running on the Twickenham website
       to be sure...

The Twickenham briefing tonight said shuttle buses would be as
normal tomorrow but trains vary few and far between. Still worth
       confirming for peace of mind

Were you lucky and your car broke down and you missed the match
       completely?

Thanks everyone for your help. We had the Hounslow option as a
standby (or parking at Sunbury train station car park and
catching the bus) but in the end all was fine and we sailed into
the middle of Twickenham and the Aragon car park at 11:30 where
there were lots of spaces and it cost us ('only)' £14.50 for
over seven hours of parking. Luckily we were not planning on
leaving straight after the game (didn't appreciate all those
roads would be closed off) but by the time we were ready to go
at 7pm the roads were open and it was really pretty clear and
       easy to get out.
Of course in the morning I had a sudden thought of checking
coaches and national express had a coach that went from Bristol
to London via the stadium (arriving at 12:15) and then picked up
again at 6:15pm!! But they weren't spaces left - but worth
bearing in mind for any next time.
We had a great day - as with many, on many levels were ok/happy
with Fiji winning, enjoyed the Barmy Arms and Cabbage Patch
(lovely Cajun burgers) and the chippy on Church Road.
I hope others who went enjoyed their day.
