The Twitter account of the RFU Community department is
forecasting 60,000 for England v Fiji and 82,000 for South
Africa v ABs! Another triumph for Borthwick.

Agree, tickets sold not bums in seats due to train strike a lot
would have bought before knowing and scraped it.

Cheers, I completely forgot about the strikes at the weekend.
Not that I’m going to Twickenham but it will make me alter my
       plans

I think people are voting with their feet. Put a shuttle bus on
to Richmond (tube connection) and massively reduce the ticket
rates, but that won't happen. It's baffling why someone wouldn't
want to pay £100+ for a ticket to watch one of the worst England
       sides in history.

. .. but, a lot of people probably only paid a tenner for a
       ticket.
       I actually bought 2 tickets (£20) which I can't use as I have
been given 2 better tickets (i.e. they include booze and food).
I think that the ticket prices for this game were the same as
the prices for the Wales game (i.e. very cheap).

also - forgot to say - there are usually busses to Richmond and
       Hounslow East tube stations

Wasn't that the TW residents option as opposed to the regular
general pricing? I looked at the Wales game and they wanted 120+

I think there are 3 main reasons why there will be fewer people
       there.
       1. There is a big game on Friday night. NZ v SA.
Neutrals will go to this match rather than a possible one
       sided England v Fiji
Also, people are probably not going to want to go to
       Twickers on Fri + Saturday
       2. If is a bank Holiday weekend.
People will still go to Friday night games as then they can
travel home for the weekend - But, out of towners are not likely
to want to come into the big smoke on a Bank Holiday
       3. Train Strikes
This is pretty severe and affects a big catchment area in
the South of England. Fans wlll have a lot of difficulty getting
       home after the match.
I will be in a corporate box - and, it is normally very easy to
get people along to these events. (The punters care little about
the quality pf the rugby rugby or the cost of the tickets).
But - They have struggled to get numbers (mainly due to #2
       above).
