Won’t matter then. He’s been missing against Ireland and Wales.

Billy really had been absolutely dreadful in both games before
the red. Appalling decision to select him in the first place,
let alone make him the only specialist 8 in it squad.
It's absurd just how bad we are. Absolutely clueless. The insane
arrogance of the RFU to genuinely believe Borthwick was a fit
choice to take over the mess from Eddie Jones, and then to
rubber stamp his coterie of insanely inexperienced coaches to
take us into a world cup, is just breathtaking.
The kiwis expect their coaches to prove themselves time and
again before they get the job. The RFU think that one successful
season makes you an international coach worthy of a huge wage,
and that insanely negative scrum halves with ten minutes
coaching experience are appropriate attack coaches.
It's embarrassing. The only good bit is that we're so bad that
there can be no excuses.

I'm buying a springbok jersey and supporting my wife's team.
England are embarrassing 🫣

I might do the same - my wife’s American so it’ll certainly be a
less stressful World Cup

How to put kids off rugby! Clueless, rudderless, grim kicking
tactics. Team look miserable save for the saracens lot doing
their nauseating penalty celebrations. Borekick stubbornly
sticking to failing kick chase tactics no wonder NEV didn’t hang
around.

Great observation in the Grauniad "It is now nearly six hours
since a (England) back scored a try"

I wish I could say that England are playing the long game and
lulling teams into a false sense of how bad England are, but
that would be a tactic and not sure England are capable of
tactics.

I just don’t see any cohesion in the squad. They almost need a
player takeover or the senior leadership group to have a serious
chat with the management. You can clearly see none of them
believe in the system and it needs to change.
No wonder the first choice forwards and backs coaches turned it
down. You can almost think that once over the initial shock at
omission Dommers and Murley would be quite glad not to be part
of it right now.

The senior leadership are the problem, not the solution. This
has been an issue with England for a while. When a game is
going badly people say 'the senior players need to step up'. In
England's case it's often the senior players who have caused the
problem in the first place, therefore are unable to fix it.
