I don't think last week's team was selected to get a win.

Part of me - a small part - hopes Wales will win so this awful
Borthwick era can be terminated early. It will never happen of
course, but in about forty years of watching England, I find the
rugby they play the most desperately poor I’ve seen, given the
skills of the players when they are with their clubs.

I doubt the match against Wales will have any direct impact on
Borthwick's tenure either way.
If England fail to get out of their pool then maybe he'll get
the boot but only because it's so weak. Even then they'll have
time to select a new coach, which they didn't have after Jones,
so he'll probably still be around for the 6 Nations.

Easy to forget that we've actually lost 4 out of Steves first 6
games in charge....and the last time at HQ was when the French
tore us apart......I'm a very glum England fan sadly.

It's easier to forget we've won 2 of his 6.

World Cup.

Quins players play like drains for England = coaches fault
Not Quins players play like drains for England = Farrell's fault
Beautiful. [emoji23]

Neither Care nor Smith played like drains last week and he never
mentioned Farrell but you keep on obsessing over us

Oh sure, Care and Smith created loads of opportunities. Not.
As regards Farrell, sure, he always gets a fair judgement in
here! [emoji23]
