Well it wasn’t obvious that the partnership did you (LS) any
favours, given last season’s results, so maybe for the best!

Murley doesn't seem the sort of player to be demoralized so much
as to use it as a spur to develop his skills. He lost out to
Daly, Watson and Malins this time but of those only Malins is
likely to be around in 4 years' time.
And besides, he's got a Premiership try record to go after. He
could just about break it before RWC 2027 if he gets a wiggle
on.

Green is going to need some competitive game time, and the cup
games are a good place to start that process. As above though -
probably better off the bench as his first game back will be a
tough call to last the full 80.

Hmm, not sure that's fair. Green was hugely impressive as a
starter and had few outright bad games. There were times when
his carrying ran us into trouble (that Leicester game...) but he
was usually a huge threat

Picking 3 out of 5 of:
Tyrone Green
Louis Lynagh
Cadan Murley
Nick David
Cassius Cleaves
Is a really nice problem to have every week.
It’s Murley Lynagh Green for now but having David and Cleaves
there is going to really help matters in a long season. Beard’s
future here is at 13 backing up Northmore probably. Anderson and
Zheng are nice wildcard depth pieces.
All of these players (except Northmore) are 24 or under as well.
Exciting times.

This is always funny to me because I see it said a lot, but when
has Green ever played flyhalf?
Never for us and he’s been here since 2020. I can’t find any
instance of him starting at flyhalf for Lions, and in the 2018
JWC he only played on the wing.
Yet people and media still label him a wing/fullback/flyhalf
which is bizarre to me because he’s not played 10 in his
professional career?

I believe when he joined he was listed as a flyhalf. Other than
that, no idea.

According to Wikiipedia
"He is a utility back that can play as a fullback, wing,
fly-half or centre"

Well he was the nearest to a Brown type replacement I guess, but

The squad list on the club website would wish to argue that
you've got Green and David mixed up! They list Green as a
fullback and David as a wing.
