That's comparing what is effectively an international team
playing against a premiership team.

Farrell is a good player for sure, and can play 10/12. I think
10 is probably better suited as I don't think he offers too much
at 12, particularly if hes then snuffing out any creative
options from 10 being first receiver anyway.
However on the international scene, his moments of brilliance?
Not many really spring to mind.
Of all the other 10s/12s currently playing for the other top
teams, is Farrell really better than them? He can do a job at
international level, but being a great? Questionable.

I'm not sure it benefits anyone.
I don't think that either England or Wales are likely to play
any world cup games in stadiums with closed roofs.
Wales play in Bordeaux, Nice, Lyon and Nantes I think.

He probably do better closing the gates so people don't come in
and watch his team.

I thought he always wanted the roof shut to intensify the
atmosphere generated by the Welsh crowd who are pretty noisy
anyway.

Presumably, as it's a friendly, it's up to them. England always
say no in the 6 Nation's, IIRC.

I saw England play Wales in 2011 at the Principality for a world
cup warm up - I was on holiday in Pembrokeshire and thought a
drive to Cardiff was a good idea. The roof was on - yet it was
a bright summer's day outside - and it felt very, very odd
indeed. England were awful and the crowd was quite lairy
too.....we were definitely not in Kansas.

These warm-up games are crucial, remember Borthwick has had just
a few months with the players.
Additionally, a new coaching setup in in place, with these being
the first games many of them have managed at the International
level.
I am intrigued by the inclusion of Tom Willis. He could steal
that no8 position away from Dommers. That would be a tough
situation to take for Dommers, but hopefully if, he doesn't go
to the RWC, then it might drive him on to be an even better
player.
Smith looks to play understudy to Ford and Farrell. Not ideal
and let's hope he get a fair crack of the whip.
In general, and progress from even out not so touch pool group,
will be progress. I still have the French humiliation in the
front of my mind, we need a new England to show that we can play
with the likes of France and NZ.
