enough/any time talking to their customers. If they did, they'd
realise that many (most?) people would rather have a Quins
replica jersey in either short/long sleeves made out of
traditional cotton. Not polywhateveritsname. Made to the correct
size (not 2 or 3 sizes smaller) and made as a reasonable cost
(~£60/70 - if well made, then these will last, like Ellis Rugby
shirts do).

Think you have it about right for us of have been going for a
good few years, but would also say the younger supporters want
the latest shirt and will buy one each season, and I suspect
that where the real money is

For me, I would like a Quins replica jersey in a "cotton-rich"
mix.
Basically, every cotton shirt I have bought from the shop has
faded or massively gone out of shape.
So, it would be nice if there was a little bit of polyester or
something to give it some structure.
The nicest design recently was the short sleeve quarters shirt
with the big "HFC" badge. But, it shrunk lengthways and ended up
in the bin

I don't disagree, but there is room for both.

The Adidas 150th cotton shirt was very nice and mine is still in
good nick. Despite many years of wearing and washing....

That was the last good-quality shirt the suppliers have made.

This is my 1st post so forgive me if this has already been
covered.
Having bought next season's 1st team shirt, I responded to
"Harry" (concierge.harlequins@castore.co.uk) who was concerned
that the wrong delivery firm had been used (Evri instead of good
old DHL) & asked a couple of questions :-
1) Can you tell me if there are any plans for Castore to produce
a cotton, long sleeved Quins shirt rather than these synthetic,
short sleeved shirts ? I realise that they are supposed to
replicate the shirts that the players are wearing in any one
season but they are NOT to everyone’s taste. Some people prefer
a more traditional style of shirt as demonstrated by with the
number of 150 year anniversary shirts sold & that are still seen
worn at matches.
(2) The design of home & away shirts used to be current for 2
years but now there appear to be new home & away shirts produced
every year which seems to be following the trend by football
clubs. Is this just a ploy to sell more shirts or is there a
logical explanation behind this?
Harry's response was :-
1 - This at present is not something we are aware of. The kits
do change from year to year, and I know sometimes the material
can also change, This may be something which is changed/amended
in the future so we would recommend you to keep checking our
online store and socials for updates with this.
2 - This is something which I would be unable to answer, at
present the tops are renewed every year and this has been the
method since the partnership began. Of course, this may be
something which does change in the future however we would not
be aware of this until confirmed directly by the club and
partner.
I suppose this sums up what we were all thinking?

I spoke with Ellis rugby a while back and they would love to
make a Quins heritage shirt, and even gave out contact details
for store side etc, but much like the adidas deal it would
appear
“ If you want us, you can’t have anyone else” is the motto
