       Online shop

Trying to find the Quins online shop to browse fashion items and
gifts ahead of a friend’s birthday. All I can find on the Quins
website is a “shop” selling only the new home kit. Where’s
       everything else?

There is nothing else yet. I wonder how much revenue Quins miss
out on due to poor/late merchandise levels.
Twice last season I went to buy a mug for someone, once before
Xmas and the only had a Xmas mug and once at the pride game and
they only had a pride mug. I didn't want either, not a lot of
money admittedly but a loss of revenue all the same.

Yes - in years gone by they had all sorts of items, gifts,
souvenirs etc. Now it is Castore, Castore, nothing but a Castore
monopoly (at extortionate prices). Bring back the old days !

Well while you're waiting for the shop to catch up
  HTML https://www.redbubble.com/shop/harlequins+rugby
       Superb choice of mugs!
  HTML https://www.redbubble.com/shop/?query=harlequins%20mugs&ref=search_box
I assume the redbubble people more or less get an order, make an
       order, ship an order.
They can't have all that as inventory in a warehouse somewhere.
And they could teach Castore a thing or two about designing
attractive stuff! One design on 46 products, how does that
       compare?
And scroll down and look at all the Harlequins Art you can buy!

Somehow I don't think the shop has caught up with the digital
       age!

The shop is very poor. You look at other clubs such as Tigers
and they have kit for adults, kids and babies. They also have
loads of gift items and retro/leisurewear. I know they have a
different kit supplier but who makes all their fan stuff -
fantastic range and very good price. I tweeted quins and got a
reply of the usual "we are transitioning items over" but it
takes SO long for this and the items that come out are poor and
       over priced.

The club have never given the impression of being very
interested in selling merchandise so I have reciprocated and
never shown much interest in buying any of it. It's an
arrangement that works well as far as I'm concerned.
I always get the impression that the club have decided they
can't make much money from it and so just provide a bare minimum
concentrating their money making efforts elsewhere but that
       can't be right can it?

If you can't make money from a 300%-400% mark up then you really
are in trouble. You also don't understand the difference between
marketing and sales if you're restricting yourself to just
selling shirts. See all that stuff I put up on redbubble?
Presumably it sells, but the nice thing is there's no inventory,
you want a mug? They make just a single mug. Ship it to you and
still don't charge much. Why don't the club just sub contract as
much as possible to redbubble and let Castore do replica kit,
       and whatever is left?

At the club update, they were saying that the castore
partnership was very profitable and a big success.
       But, what do they know...
