And yet coaches seem to persist with players who fail to produce
when actually selected.

So Scotland picked their flying winger today, Darcy Graham. He
scored two tries. At least they are trusting in speed on the
wing.

Well they're trusting a winger with 34 caps and 18 tries. I
think that's fair enough.

Rugbypass has an article analysing the wingers remaining in the
squad. What’s telling for me is the final two graphs, which also
include their Premiership peers.
They’re hard to read, but if you can find Murley on the graph he
has a higher tries per game ratio than the surviving contenders
(well, duh) while making a similar number of carries in the
opposition 22. And in terms of where his try scoring runs start,
he’s got a unique balance of tries scored at close range (where
he rivals Cokanasiga) and tries scored from further out (where
only Carreras has scored more).
If England don’t want him, then it’s their loss, but we should
recognise what a special talent we have.

Does anyone actually know the circumstances of Cadan's leaving
and returning to the squad or what he was told?
