I really feel for him but he cannot blame himself, can only put
your best foot forward. Once he’s over the disappointment it’ll
be time to dust off and go hard in a Quins shirt. His time will
come!

How did he perform in the training camp?

Strange goings-on. Borthwick drops Rodd one week and then brings
him back and drops VRR the next. It's like he's channelling
Eddie.

Can only assume he's going to have Farrell at 12 again, so no
need for the best winger in the premiership winger, never going
to get the ball.

The swapping of VRR for Rodd suggests it may not be over quite
yet - but I'd think that any uncapped player who doesn't play in
the first warm up game will only get to France as an injury
replacement.
There's plenty of time for Murley, though. If Borthwick's doing
what he says he's doing, Murley will have been released with
specific work ons, probably around kicking and aerial work. And
I'd not bet against him working on them until they're good
enough to put him back in contention, which can only be good for
Quins.

Quinspirational asked what more Cadan could do so I was
interested in what he had already done.

Totally agree that it’s a shame but as others have said, if he
has “work ons” etc his time will definitely come.
To give some ballast to this view, I always like to try and look
for comparisons with others, in this case….Jonny May didn’t win
his first cap until he was 23 (Cadan is 23), it wasn’t in a
World Cup year (it was under Lancaster on the tour of Argentina)
and he didn’t actually touch down in an England shirt until his
8th cap.
Cadan will continue to work hard on his game and he will get
selected, he’s far too good not to! On top of all that, my
experiences with Cadan are that he is a top bloke who will keep
going and not become disheartened by this, if anything it will
fire him up further!
