From experience, you had to have your shirt untucked with the
asymmetric kit. The waistband of the shorts is wide black
elastic - somewhat ruined the effect of the shirt and shorts
forming quarters.
We had Kooga hooped socks when I first joined the Ams (2008)

We had hooped socks in 2001 and 2002...and again in 2012 (prem
winning year). May have had them in between those seasons too
but those are from memory.
Quins have certainly never had navy shorts in my lifetime, only
black or white. Have to say I do prefer black. Unsure if we ever
had navy during the 80s or prior but I've only ever seen white
shorts from the amateur days.

Those links show all the photos. In the period I was talking
about you have to go back to 1891 to find them wearing dark
shorts.
The 1992 pic is what I meant re. the last few amateur years;
that's what they played in when I joined.

The original club rules (copied from the 1883/1884 club records)
11. That the Club colours be light blue, chocolate, French grey
and magenta reversed on back , sleeves light green and black
reversed, dark blue knickerbockers and dark stockings, and that
all Members be requested to wear the same.

It’s as good as can be expected, it’s £70 and will sell no doubt
I’m just thankful that it look like a Quins shirt

I'm wearing chocolate French knickerbockers and stockings at the
moment if that helps. Some bits of me have gone magenta and a
couple are now light blue so I may need to loosen the gusset a
bit.

I prefer this season's home shirt to last season's, definitely.
Would like to see the green and black inverted on one sleeve,
and maybe one side panel too. But I like it a lot. Have to say
though I probably won't buy it, because I find the 'We are true'
slogan on the back of the collar to be so cringeworthy. I don't
know when it started happening, but I find all clubs now
thinking they have to have a 'catchy' slogan they can use as a
hashtag, just a bit ridiculous. I'm convinced it does nothing to
increase support or revenue. Maybe I'll buy one and just colour
it in with a sharpie after every wash!

One of the later adidas kits (2018/19?) had "Punjab Blue"
shorts. They looked black but were really very very dark blue.

Usually, this is not a bad option.
Also - on a previous shirt, I felt particularly brave and I used
an iron to unpeel the DHL sticker.
