I had an email from the club recently informing me that there
was more season tickets available due to cancellations, I wonder
if people are looking at the loss of games and weighing it up
again. Sadly after 13 years I cancelled, I could no longer
justify the cost per match to Mrs nowexnavyquin, she had been
questioning the cost for some time and as she kept reminding me
happy wife happy life.
As much as the Barbarians game is a fun match it still can’t
compare to an actual competitive match. The same as matches
across the road, as fun as the day out can be they still don’t
replicate a match at a packed Stoop and especially the BSKO.

Cancellation deadline is Friday.
I'm really on the fence. I'm another who doesn't like games at
HQ so it's well in excess of Premier League prices per game for
me. My napkin maths says that Quins have pretty much recouped
all the revenue lost from the demise of clubs from season ticket
holders through the price increases. That's a big eff you as
far as I'm concerned.

An alternative way of looking at it is that you can go to the
stoop to watch subsidised games where you are paying less than
the cost.
The subsidy is being paid for by the owners.

This is quite likely to be my last season as a season ticket
holder. I usually give away my tickets for the big Stoop. I
can't really justify over £1K for 2 tickets for 7 league games
and 2 possibly interesting European Games. I'm not really
bothered with the minor cup games.

The owners get to choose how much to spend, not me. I don't
measure the cost of the ticket against their budget, I measure
it against other things I can do with it. I'm no football fan
but a good seat at Chelsea for the same money for 19 home games
makes Quins look increasingly bad value.

Would that be as good a seat?
Asking for a friend.

Not criticising you for mulling this over at all - the crunch is
real, I'm umm-ing and ahh-ing myself... But I think your napkin
maths there may have skirted around the impact of Covid on the
club and the general economic environment at the moment
(inflation for one). Just like you and I have a decision to make
over how we keep our own personal balance sheets in order, so
too do the club. I don't for a second think these price rises
are malicious - the club is making the difficult decisions it
needs to make to continue to do business and I don't blame them
one bit, especially having seen what's happened to the clubs
that have gone under.
Or to put it another way: given the economic reality of the
moment, what would you have the club do?

So we've gone from rah, rah huge waiting list to quiet targetted
e-mails (which I never received) begging for people to take up
cancellations.
Is it me?

Top two seat categories at Stamford bridge are £940 & £900 so
yes.

A good seat at Chelsea is one facing away from the pitch!
