Doesn't wear a gumshield?! Wouldn't have thought that would be
allowed, especially at this level. Definitely doesn't feel
advisable, but hey...

It's well worth a watch, too - a game where both sides produce
some good tries and the lead changes hands several times

I thought it was a good game in that it was pretty physically
brutal and competitive throughout, but a lot of sloppiness on
display. Much better result for England than for Ireland.
England's lineout was one of the worst I've seen prior to Jibs
coming on.

Especially with the new gumshields that have the microchip
installed.

Must admit the thing that jumped out to me was the comment that
neither He nor (flatmate) Will Joseph currently have anywhere to
live, having been booted from the LI ‘Academy House’ when they
folded. I would hope that, within the confines of the cap rules,
the Club is able to help them get this resolved asap.
Would imagine that most of the LI Academy lads have had to go
home to their Parents for the time being, though would be tricky
for CCS given that they are in New Zealand!

The club will just send them for a night on the tiles with Joe
Marler, and in the morning they will find that one of the
hospitality boxes at the Stoop has been converted into comfy
temporary accommodation….
More seriously, though, I imagine that the club will have helped
to sort this out. In cap terms, I suspect that the players have
to pay the rent out of their salaries, but that there are houses
that have been used by multiple generations of academy players
with new ones moving in as the previous generation move on to
senior contracts and longer term relationships and want to get
their own places.
That may not apply for CC-S, though, as I think he’s said that
he’s moved from an Academy contract at LI to a senior one at
Quins. So maybe he can afford a place of his own with space for
his folks to visit.
