Are you talking about the people who don't like women's rugby?
If so, why are they misogynists?

Quite. I don't like watching the NBA. Doesn't make me a racist.

Sometimes you don't even have to put the bait in the water.

Careful you’ll set the terrified and yet aroused misogynists off
again. It’s the confusion that makes them so angry.

Personally I could not care less about women's rugby or for that
matter football which is on the tv all the time on the PC BBC.
Fair play to anyone who does sport at any level but the standard
is that of park teams.

Nope. Normally when we discuss women's rugby, the usual suspects
like to say that they don't understand why women should get any
money or promotion or equal billing or be on tv etc etc
I don't particularly want to watch it but I also try not to
tolerate fellow middle aged men who think it's 1970.

This was partly the purpose of the original posting (by myself).
Saturday was basically a ladies game only and there were a lot
of people there. The shop was open. People were using the bars,
food stalls, etc.
There are a few points:
- the crowd were not exactly the same as the crowd that you get
for a 1st team match - there were ladies from club rugby teams,
etc who might not come to normal game.-- so, there is an
opportunity to maybe get those new people to become members in
the future.
- the club often says that it is looking for additional revenue
streams. This looked a good revenue stream.
- the post match questionnaire was asking if people would be
interested in hospitality. This is another good revenue stream.
I personally think that it would be good to try to have ladies
games at the Stoop on weekends when the 1st team are playing an
away fixture. In the past, I have sometimes gone to watch
Richmond on those weekends. But, Saturday's game was a good
alternative. Certainly, the crowd size (probably double the
average attendance for Richmond) and the cheaper ticket (in my
case free as I am a ST holder) makes this a good option.
