"Now"? Even Betjeman must have questioned when it actually
was...
Please note: I went toschool in Slough and lived there for a
number of years. Mine isn't the usual Slough-bashing, as
justified as that often is!

Thanks DOK for those two articles. Looks like the move to the
Madjeski Stadium a big mistake and they should have kept their
ground sharing arrangement at the Stoop. Does any one know why
they decided to leave?

Our explanation was that their demands were too difficult. Their
explanation is that we kicked them out as they were getting
better crowds and we were frustrated that they were making it
more their ground than ours.

Personally think he'd be a great fit for us - the most
like-for-like replacement for Joe we could possibly find (albeit
more raw) and, like Marchant, can play centre and wing. As a
foil to Andre (and in the future, Lennox) would work very well
and would give us depth with him and Luke vying for the 13 shirt
(I see Beard ending up playing more on the wing).

Joseph, who made his England debut on the tour of Australia a
year ago, is one remaining in the Premiership with Harlequins.
Like Arundell, he has been the subject of significant interest
on both sides of the Channel. The 20-year-old is understood to
have held discussions with Saracens, who also spoke to Loader,
and La Rochelle before opting for Harlequins.
Joseph, capable of covering outside centre and wing, would
appear to be an ideal replacement for Joe Marchant, who has
joined Stade Français. Injury hampered his 2022-23 season but an
England recall this week demonstrates Joseph’s standing and the
prospect of him sharing a back line with Danny Care, Marcus
Smith, Andre Esterhuizen and Cadan Murley is a tantalising one.
