Interesting to realise that Smudger only played 8 or 9 games for
us last year. Not sure if this is why we had a less than
excellent season or whether it means we don't miss him maybe as
much as you'd think?

It's worth remembering that the figures quoted relate to
Premiership games only. They don't include any
Champions/Challenge Cup appearances.

Also, Marcus was injured after the AI's so missed all our games
between then and the 6N, else he'd be on the same as the sainted

And let's compare that to Ireland players as well, who seem to
average around 8 or 9 starts for Leinster at most in the league
and I bet their minutes are well down on our players...

Mind you if the internationals turned out for Leinster they may
play better as a team and win something....

“Less” is correct with percentages. It would be “fewer” with a
countable number. If the Department of Pedantry can’t get it
right, then no hope at all!
