They hit £70 for the first time in gold last year, can only
       imagine this will go up.

My thinking was that the people on the waiting list (a couple of
thousand wasn't it?) were probably attending on a match by match
basis. If they have now had an opportunity to buy a ST that
could well result in less overall demand.

I had a look today now they went on "general sale" £600 odd for
a ticket in the south stand 😱 that's insane money for a
       not great seat.

The Club doesn't make a huge amount out of resale because it has
to refund the STH the equivalent of the ST seat price.
Also, the rules for seat allocations in any potential ko rounds
       are different.

I think that this was mentioned at one of the club meetings
       though.
I'm sure they said that it generates something like £500k of
       profit per year.

Profit or sales I wonder? From memory, the differential between
what they have to refund versus charging full price is the only
extra sale as F&B etc should remain roughly the same?

If 12 games qualify for resale at £10 profit that would need
over 4,000 resales per game. Of course my numbers are just
estimates but I seem to recall that Gold seats return about £60
to the owner and sell for, what, about £70?
Perhaps someone can guess some other numbers. 😁

It sells the ticket for full price and refunds what the member
paid for it, less an admin fee. It makes at least as much from
that as selling the ticket on its own.
If ST cost per seat is, say, 30
       Full price is 50
       Admin is 5
       Then a resale is
       50 - (30-5) + 30 + whatever interest they earn on the ST's money
       - actual cost of admin = 50+
The key point is that they already have the money from the STH
and all they are doing is refunding some of it.

Poorfour, your figures would make the resale value of my gold
       seat £100.
