For sports people no problem at all.

infuriating and getting punted to 12 as a result.

talents as a 10, it's quite remarkable just how many of his
international performances in that shirt have varied from
appalling to mediocre. He's never looked like a world class fly
half for England, despite having so many chances over the years.
It's genuinely remarkable.

to the international stage. He couldn't do it when called upon
in the 6N, much like his play convinced the last few coaches
that an in-form Ford was indeed a far better option, but hope
springs eternal and all that.

Watch how Farrell plays (and wins lots of trophies) for
Saracens.

Remind us all why you were relegated and fined £5M again? Buying
trophies is nothing to brag about.

Going on to other boards and gloating about winning a trophy is
not really a good look - is it?

Yep, if Salarycens fans put as much effort into supporting their
team as Marsile does in seeing what Quins fans are saying (39
posts!), then they might even fill their little ground now and
again.

That’s not how top sportspeople tend to think, though. There are
very few who have abandoned an international career that still
has a lot of upward potential to chase filthy lucre, especially
not a player wit the talent and ambition that Smith possesses.
Generally players only go abroad when they decide their
international career is over (or limited), or when they are
secure enough that they know they can continue to play. NEv was
one of the former; Wilko and Carter were in the latter bracket.
And the next international opportunity won’t be 18 months away;
the 6N squad will be announced less than 3 months after the end
of the RWC, and presumably Smith will have an indication as to
whether he’s in Borthwick’s plans some time before that.

Club rugby isn't international rugby as you're so keen to point
out whenever it's a rival to a Saracens player who's tearing it
up at club rugby. Farrell has 40 starts at 10 for England and
plenty more time there off the bench. He's 31 years old and has
been playing for England for 11 years. If he hasn't been able to
consistently transfer that Saracens success to the international
arena, then that's on him. He's had longer than most
international careers in that one position and has frequently
stunk the place out.
I've got no problem admitting he often looks great for Saracens.
You should ask yourself why that is and why there's such a
disconnect between his club and international performances.

Salarycens have more internationals than England and they play
together all the time to a set pattern. They don’t have to
change the way they play when called up.
