Fair enough we can’t help how we feel as individuals and are
allowed to speak freely about it, we are adult after all.
But once a vote/result has been made, this should be honoured.
If not what do we make it; best of 3, best of 5, best of 7
perhaps, maybe best of 33? It all gets a bit silly and what’s
the point of a fair vote/game if we don’t stick to the end
result. I wonder had it been the other way round, would that
side who argue then still feel the same way about a
revote/rematch? Then would that be fair?

Re the Brexit referendum, it's not a case of just demanding a
rematch. The situation is very different now.
It has been proven:
1) Brexit is completely undeliverable as promised
2) The Leave campaign broke the law
3) There may have been Russian interference with the vote
4) The people responsible for delivering Brexit are so hideously
badly prepared and light on understanding of the technical
detail it makes a mockery of the whole thing
5) There was no clear mandate for a "hard Brexit" and the result
has been hijacked by self interested individuals
A responsible government would call the whole thing off for a
few years and think again once better prepared and they've got a
plan in place. This government isn't responsible or competent.
The opposition is worse.
I fundamentally don't agree with having a second referendum as
we need to honour the result - but I can't see a way out of this
mess - and we have to get out of it.
On another note it has cost me/my wife a lot (c.£2k) in
citizenship for her (she is Finnish), as we just don't trust the
government not to use her as a bargaining chip.

It is not different it is exactly the same as Bath the remoaners
just want a new referendum until they win, they do not
understand that if there was another referendum and they won the
leave side would have the right to yet another vote in 2 years.
Or do they think that we just have another referendum until they
win?
There was clear mandate for hard Brexit that is what people
voted for. You have no idea what people thought as they voted.

and hysterical.
I assume that you are a millennial and have a sense of
entitlement that you can have everything you want.
The way democracy works is that sometimes you lose.
It is not a perfect system but is better than any other.
I was ambiguous during the vote but the EU attitude disgusts me
and made me a firm leaver.
It is like leaving a private gym and the gym saying you have to
obey all our rules and be punished for leaving.
I also want laws that govern me to be made by our Parliament who
I have the right to vote against if I wish to whereas I have
never been given the opportunity to vote for against anyone on
the unelected socialist EU Council who make European law

"Remoaner", "sense of entitlement", "childish", "hysterical" - I
actually thought we were above these types of insults on here -
this is just like shouty Twitter.....
Anyway.....there are lots of very bright and informed leavers
(and remainers) out there - it's unfortunate that none seem to
be in any position of influence or authority. I think that when
you look at the situation now, a moderate Brexit will respect
the vote and give the greater autonomy and flexibility that was
wanted. When you start to get under the skin of the detail it's
hard to see past a Norway style arrangement - every other turn
seems to run into brick walls.
I don't usually address insults, but yours grated with me a bit.
We have not been childish and hysterical. We have addressed
the situation in front of us through getting citizenship and
protecting our interests. We haven't been ranting and marching
against Brexit...We want a good pragmatic outcome. We also want
the £350m for the NHS.
But let me put this to you...and maybe you'll be able to
understand our concerns a bit more - the week after the
referendum, my wife's Finnish friend who lives in Cornwall with
here British husband and family got a death threat through the
mail box telling her to go home. We have also observed
individuals being shouted at on the bus telling them to speak
English. The Brexit vote has awoken and emboldened a very
unpleasant behaviour. If we start to feel that this is no
longer our home we will simply move, albeit very reluctantly.
So I can assure you we are not the childish ones here. Just
concerned at the mess and uncertainty. That is all.
