That's presuming there are no more clubs that fold, with the
idiotic decision to raise the cap and subsequently clubs
spending more on wages but with less fixtures/gate receipts, I
wouldn't bet against it.

I hope Irish don’t go under. There will be so few games that
there will not be enough revenue generated to make the league
sustainable. Having a stadium empty for 350 days a year isn’t
good business. If they do fail, I think Ealing should be given a
chance. Could they take Irishes place at the Gtech to solve
capacity problems.

That's... a pretty good idea if it comes down to it, which I
really hope it doesn't.
The point about empty stadia is well made, though, which is a
big reason why I think the growth of women's rugby is critically
important for the health of the game as a whole.
There aren't enough weeks in the year to fit in extra men's
games, but clubs need to generate more revenue from their
grounds - playing more women's games is a good way to sweat the
assets. At the moment, it's not a big money spinner, but that
could change relatively quickly.

Bit harsh on Jersey who actually won the Championship. And maybe
Doncaster, who applied for and met the criteria.

I too hope Irish survive. I have said it before, but I would
like to see both Ealing & Jersey promoted promoted too ! Perhaps
Ealing could ground share with QPR FC ? Also Jersey could be
given exemption regarding their ground. This would be a 13-team
Premiership.... more revenue, bigger supporter base, more games
etc. We could only dream.

I thought it was Brentford soccer club who wanted Irish out
because of problems with the pitch and other issues sharing a
ground?
Would Quins want to share The Stoop with lets say, Sutton United
from League Two to maximise ground revenue?

Having read over in the LI board some names being banded around
for these American investors, I'm not surprised why its taking
this long. I think a few would be surprised they would pass any
"fit and proper" type assessment, along with struggling to show
where the money actually is. Maybe someone should convince Glen
Tamplin to buy LI?
(For those who don't know, google his tenure at Billericay
Football Club which saw him splash the cash on players including
Jamie O'Hara, Jermaine Pennant..paint a mural of him on the
walls outside the club where he received a vision from God to
buy the club...make himself manager, fire himself for poor
performance, only to return as caretaker manager...it was truly
great stuff).

Generally - I don't have an issue with ground sharing as long as
there is no impact on the home team and the pitch is resilient
enough to support the extra games.
E.g. - does it really affect us if another team was playing at
the Stoop this weekend?
By all accounts, the hockey games at the Stoop were a great
success.
But, I am a little nervous if the other team was a league
football team.
1. I am not sure that the residents around the Stoop would like
the extra marshalling of away teams to and from the games
2. And - we should be 100% aligned with the other clubs and
supporters on topics such as inclusivity.
-> even clubs such as Sutton are not squeaky clean in this
respect. (Although the views of the club are clear, there are
clearly issues with the supporters.)
