I wonder if this consortium are getting cold feet, or have
simply crunched a few numbers and realised LI have a poor
business model and will be simply throwing their money down the
drain, if they even have the funds

thing is this effects all teams revenue and will snowball
financial issues with others, 3 less teams in the prem loss of 3
home games, all other clubs currently struggling & on the brink
will probably fold. They will have to bring clubs up from
championship surely as replacements. I like Baa Baas but they
really dont replace prem games and how many of those will you
get bums on seats for, this would be an absolute disaster not
just for the poor Irish fans and players but repercussions
throughout the other perm clubs.

I agree ! Promote Ealing & Jersey; FORGET about ground capacity
requirements, RFU & Prem League red tape. Get the Premiership up
to 13 teams (or 12 if Irish were to sadly fold). Two more teams,
two more home games = more revenue for all. More value for money
for members. Quins would get their usual c.14,000 crowd for 2
more Prem games.
Am I being completely illogical here ???

I think the 10,000 capacity requirement is so that DCMS
regulations come into play ensuring certain statutory H&S
requirements come into play and some other benefits I
understand; not that they seemed to have much influence with the
Warriors and Wasps calamities!

Great news that they'll complete the season, but the saga casts
serious doubts on whether the deal will complete. I really hope
Irish find stability off the field soon.

As previously discussed on this forum the main problem seems the
stadium they are to play at? Perhaps it will be the Kassam in
Oxford which was used by London Welsh?

Really good the owner of the club decides to help out and pay
his own players, what a guy.
I suspect this situation will be repeat this time next month
