       The conventional wisdom is that this was the thinking behind
       Sale offering the academy kids 5-year gigs.
       At the time, we were running a pretty low budget and were sick
       of clubs raiding our team en masse for players as soon as they
       were proven. Usually when one of our coaches moved to another
       club. Over the years, we'd seen Sarries, Saints, Toulon and
       Wasps each pick up 3-4 players in one go.
       The buyout clause perhaps deterred other teams from swooping and
       at least meant we were compensated if anyone did leave (Redpath,
       I believe, and more recently Ashman).

       Times reporting LI players have not received April salaries.
       Still no comment from LI and Premier Rugby. Are they following
       Worcester?
