As much as I loved our away trips to Calvisano and Timisoara, I
agree with the point that you only get to win something by
playing in it regularly. We shot ourselves in the foot last
season and the same again this season with inadequate defensive
displays in away legs when one score would have made all the
difference so we are not 'embarrassing' in the Heiny, just not
street smart and we won't get that on a wet Thursday in Galway.
The Saffer inclusions are ridiculous when you get two away trips
each year so that (as discussed ad nauseum in other threads)
needs addressing but I'd rather be playing Leinster, La Rochelle
etc as we won't improve otherwise and as referenced above, will
lose our better players as a result.

Fair enough, I wasn't aware they'd reinstated it. Presumably
when they introduced the new crap format.

We just aren't good enough.
We've won only 3 of our last 13 games.....
That's a shocking stat

I know that our results don't show it.
But, I think that we are playing better rugby over the last few
years than we were, say 5 years ago.
I remember celebrating getting into the Champions Cup around 5
years back when we qualified by getting a win in the last game
of the season. We weren't good enough back then - but, we were
still celebrating.
