Championship Cup qualification

So, here is my reckoning - please correct me if I have it wrong.
Top 8 teams go into the Championship Cup.
We are in 7th place on 47 points.
Behind up are Bristol and Bath on 42 points.
So if as a minimum we score 4 tries or get a losing bonus
against Tigers, then we qualify.
But, to not qualify, then we need:
1. Bristol at home to beat Glos with 4 tries and to beat them by
29 points
2. Bath at home to beat Sarries also with 4 tries and to beat
them by 37 points
I think that Sarries may rotate a bit, but will still be eyeing
up finishing top of the table. To guarantee this, they will need
at least 2 points from the Bath game to guarantee that they will
finish ahead of Sale, who will likely get a 5 pointer from their
home match v Falcons.
I can see us losing against Tigers and I can also imagine us to
getting any points there.
I can also imagine Bristol getting the 5 point win.
But, I can't see that they will overturn the points difference.
Also, I can't see #2 (Bath beat Sarries by 37) ever happening.

Just spotted the error regarding Saracens.
I forgot that they are playing this afternoon.
So, they may get the points they need in that match which will
likely mean that there will be a lot of squad rotation next
week.

Your points differences required doesn't/can't take into account
the points difference we could end up with.
Currently 28 better than Bristol and 36 better than Bath. For
example if we lose by 15 to Tigers Bristol need to win by 14 and
Bath by 22.
We have to go out and get at least one match point try bonus or
losing bonus.

Ah yes, good point. I hadn't factored that in

Would be quite happy if we are in the challenge cup where in
past years we have won.

Challenge Cup can be interesting.
But, there is a chance of
1. Thursday night games.
2. Non televised away games

Our normal performance in the European Cup is to not get out of
the pool stages. Our chances of winning it are zero.
So in the tin pot runner up cup we usually get out the pool
we're in and are we still the team who have won it most often?

I quite like the opportunity to investigate/book trips to clubs
I wouldn’t normally consider…
