       Team vs Grenoble
   DIR By: WellingQuin

ENGLAND INTERNATIONAL IN THE 23 FOR CHALLENGE CUP FIXTURE IN
       FRANCE
Harlequins is delighted to welcome Jack Clifford back to the
squad as the Club takes on Grenoble in the Challenge Cup this
weekend (kick-off: 20:00 GMT). The England international, who
injured his hamstring at the end of last season, has been named
among the Game Changers for the trip.
Francis Saili makes his return to the starting XV for the first
time since April. The New Zealander features in a back line that
includes Charlie Walker on the wing and Aaron Morris at
       Full-back.
Head of Rugby Paul Gustard said: “We are very pleased to see
‘The Jack-man’ re-join the squad for this important fixture and
we look forward to the impact he will make on Saturday evening
and for the rest of the season. Jack has been through a
frustrating and testing time over the last two seasons. He has
shown great resilience and fortitude to return to competitive
rugby and has been eager to get back onto the field.
“Gabriel Ibitoye unfortunately misses out on selection this week
as he sustained an injury to his leg against Agen. Gabriel has
been consistent with his endeavour with regards to his personal
development in areas of his game that we have identified. I have
been really pleased with his attitude and I am excited about
seeing his continued progress and performances over the season.
“The pack is unchanged which is testament to the effort we put
in last week with James Chisholm once again captaining the side
as we continue to strengthen our leadership density. I feel
that James, Matt Symons and Joe Marchant are particularly
unlucky to miss out on England selection following a string of
strong, robust games for the Club, but I also know they will all
continue to work hard and continue to develop their game.
“We put in a good performance against a determined and talented
Agen side last week in front of our home support who will have
seen the improvement in our attack which culminated in eight
tries and plenty of other opportunities created. We want to
continue moving our whole game forward as we aim to be more
destructive in our defence, more threatening in our attack and
more consistent in our set-piece. We have had a good week’s
preparation, the energy in the squad is excellent and we are
determined to continue to build on the momentum we have
       generated.”

Great to see Clifford back in the squad! All in all I like that
23 given the players who aren't available.

       Et les opposition:
THE XV GRENOBLE AGAINST THE HARLEQUINS

FIRST GAME IN PRO FOR CORENTIN GLÉNAT
Corentin Glénat will play Saturday his first meeting with the
first team of "Red & Blue". The usual semi-opening of Espoirs,
which trains daily with the pros, is rewarded after a very good
start to the season with the U22 Grenoble . After his "false
start" (10 minutes of play at La Rochelle during the first day),
Clement Ancely found the field and will hold third line. In
front of him, we will find Ali Oz. The right pillar will go into
the cage for a first in this sector at this level.
On the front row, hooker Duncan Casey will be surrounded by
Dylan Jacquot and Halani Aulika. The team will be formed by
Francois Uys and Ali Oz. Loïc Baradel and Clément Ancely will
       coach Steven Setephano.
Theo Nanette and Corentin Glénat will form the hinge. Lolagi
Visinia and Lucas Dupont will occupy the wings, Taleta Tupuola
and Pablo Uberti will be associated with the center. Bastien
Guillemin will start at the back.
The starting lineup: Dylan Jacquot, Duncan Casey, Halani Aulika
       - Francois Uys, Ali Oz - Loïc Baradel, Clément Ancely, Steven
Setephano - Theo Nanette, Corentin Glénat - Lolagi Visinia,
Taleta Tupuola, Pablo Uberti, Lucas Dupont - Bastien Guillemin
Alternates: Mike Tadjer, Mihaita Lazar, Beka Gigashvili, Leva
Fifita, Dorian Bonnin, Lilian Saseras, Burton Francis, Raymond

Not a bad squad great to see Clifford back a shame to here
Ibatoye has an injury but doesn’t sound too serious and Gustard
seems quite pleased with him so he will get more chances.
Interesting still no Visser it looks like he is our 4/5 choice
       wing now

Last season if we didn't have , Brown , Care , Horwill and
Robshaw I would have been really concerned , but Im happy with
that team . Im sure we can win this - which is never easy in
       France.

As I mentioned on another thread, I saw Ibitoye in a boot at the
ground this morning. Hard to say how serious, obviously.

I read ( or heard )an interview with Gustard , where he said
he had told Ibitoye that he was guaranteed to be playing both
of these European games - so Im sure he will be really
frustrated to pick up that knock .
Is JC really going to be "The Jack-man?"

Good squad and on the face of it we are building a lot more
strength in depth and using the rotations well. That's the key
difference from the JK era i guess - nobody is a guaranteed
starter (except maybe Earle!). Glad Jack Clifford is back,
       excruciating new nickname or not!
Can someone remind me what Luke Wallace's injury is?
Meantime Ward, Visser and Walker (yes i know he's starting this
time) seem to be the main losers under the new regime...

I do not think that Wallace is injured. I think he is just not
being picked. If all are fit, he is behind Robshaw, Clifford,
Chilsholm, Bothma and Kunatani for me
