He told us the first year average age of the Club far too high
needed to come down by 20 years. Hence all the gigs and changes
in music. Only snag is we brought our kids and grandkids over
the years and paid the cash. But they want to reduce the age.

Regarding age, it wasn't just Laurie who has moaned about the
demographics others have as well.
However it has also been an ongoing "problem " in other sports
and horse racing has looked at in depth and found that it was
basically ever thus and just replicates itself over time as
people have the spare money and more importantly time to go.
Just as the MCC balcony won't be full of 20/30/40 year olds on a
Thursday in May - they will be at work with their kids etc

Quin’s are awful. Why would a potentially world class stay?

Have you not noticed all the funeral parlours that are "...and

Having had a members ticket at Middlesex and Surrey in the last
couple of years. Middlesex insistence on having to wear a full
suit in the middle of summer was definitely a part of my
decision to sign up to Surrey the next season. Who wants to be
too hot and sit on uncomfortable benches for several hours when
it isn't really needed.
