That's the flip side of it. But as pointed out elsewhere, it's a
balancing act to get the right stock levels. Of course, the
potential scarcity may have caused a rush in itself. If
supporters thought they would be in great supply and available
for longer, why rush to buy them?

Sounds like they got it about right, and selling them from
Saturday made sense, would think they didn’t believe would all
sell on At BSKO

And how would the outcome of that be any different? End result
is they have a certain amount of shirts/hats and they're going
to sell damn near all of them. Selling them nearer the time
stirs up some interest in the game.

The comments regarding them not getting stock levels right was
my opinion. But the comments regarding the poor quality are
documented many places elsewhere with a lot of photographic
proof to back it up. The design with the Harry Hill collar is
again my opinion, and it’s fair to voice it within reason.
Deleting fair comments containing constructive feedback or
opinion and at times also blocking those commenters in my
opinion is also unprofessional. To be clear there, I’m talking
about the comments which are reasonable enough and constructive.
I get it’s a balancing act but Harlequins could have made a hell
of a lot more money through sales of Hawaiian shirts and bucket
hats. There’s a saying called supply and demand. Fans have been
clear that there is a demand for it and Castore/one or two at
Quins who are aware of this haven’t made their best work of it.
On the subject of Hawaiian shirts and bucket hats, unlike each
season with the updated kit and a good proportion of fans
wanting the up to date kit, the Hawaiian shirts/bucket hats have
changed slightly in colour/graphic; but not so much to bother
some to keep getting the up to date version. I just think people
want a fair chance of being able to acquire one and don’t feel
listened to for the second year in a row. That’s it

I think when it comes to this sort of product, I get reminded of
what my old dad used to say "always leave them wanting more",
He was a great bloke.. but a terrible anaesthetist

More poor management again.
Leaving it this late to get it out there is awful business so
whilst on paper it selling out seems a success, in reality
there's a lot more sales that have gone begging. If it was put
even for sale around Jan sales time or when the game was
announced it would have given a clear indication of demand so
maybe it wouldn't be seeing many missing out.
Perhaps next year they could include it as part of a package for
the ticket for the fixture, although I imagine with the launch
of TBG shirt they wont want to push both at the same time.

Hats are 25, which is criminal. But not as bad as the shirts at
£40.

I should think you're being generous to Quins suggesting they
