No S.Langton. Highly recommend the great food/beer (Badger’s)
Scarlett Arms at Wallis Wood a little further on from Parrot
Forest Green. Or for real SA rugby pub Sunday lunch Percy Arms
Chilworth not too far from that well known Quin’s Tight head’s
abode I believe. Gomshall Mill re-opened not cheap but food
good.

You're all going a little bit too far North for me. 7 mile walk
starting on the Downs link in Southwater and then branching off
by Christs Hospital this morning (Our incoming second row may be
able to tell us a little about Christs Hospital). As luck would
have it the Bax Castle had just opened as we were heading home.
Couple of pints in the garden, lovely!
Many years ago I was at school in Cranleigh so many of the pubs
mentioned earlier in this thread were visited regularly.
Anybody else meet a certain Oliver Reed in any of them? Parrot
at Forest Green was a favourite for him or the Punchbowl or the
Chequers just down the road from his house.
