Harsh on Chis. He had been on great form in the last few games

Not quite sure what you're getting at. I haven't tried to
deflect anything and I didn't ask for proof of anything as far
as I remember. I just noted the disregard for the opinion posted
due to both a general impression that Marcus is untouchable, on
here at least, and the identity of the poster. My thoughts are
pretty much the same as The Kid's which is why I quoted the
relevant bit.
It doesn't really matter anyway because the thread's pretty much
trashed now. 😁

I don't know how many times I need to explain why the OP is
ridiculous regardless of who posted it, particularly in light of
Smith's last two performances, but I guess you're having a lot
of fun with the wilful contrarian thing recently so have at it I
guess. It was a really dumb post completely unsupported by
evidence, and the context is that the poster essentially exists
on here to make highly critical posts about Quins' top players
and generally slag off the club. So taking it at face value is
silly. And taking it at face value doesn't make it any smarter a
post.

So, engaging with the meat of the opening post for the third
time(!)
Smith for Quins this season:
Exeter away - Archie White at 8, Kenningham struggling as a 6,
Garcia Botta starting, Gjaltema starting, Andre unavailable,
Hammond and Herbst our 2nd row starters - and we still scored 42
points and were robbed of a rare away win in Devon by a dreadful
refereeing decision. Marcus did alright, y'know?
Saints at home - had Quins running riot in the first half before
Saints turned it around. Still won the game. Smith slotted all
his kicks and made 12 tackles to boot.
Tigets at home - from memory, played poorly in a poor
performance by Quins, as we continued to struggle with the lack
of Dombrandt, Chisholm, Lewies, and Lawday.
Sale away - I expected us to get hammered and instead Smith
inspired an absolute demolition job where he tore them apart in
a brilliant display of controlled rugby that saw him lauded from
all quarters.
Racing away - I don't remember much about this but checking
reports and they said Smith was superb on his return and looked
really sharp
Sharks at home - We butchered a side full of world cup winners
and Smith was good albeit getting an armchair ride from his pack
on the day
Exeter at HQ - Smith told by Borthwick to go and prove his match
fitness and responded by taking Exeter apart in a brilliant
all-round display
Saracens at Spurs - Smith vs Farrell and had an excellent
personal display, despite Quins being on the back foot. Bagged
two assists, one with an absolutely gorgeous bullet pass to
Murley, and controlled things well when Care went off.
Where's the problem, exactly?

Interesting view. I'd say that of those zeroes, Chis would
definitely get a 2 or 3. But he's only had a few games back.
Murley I wouldn't put a a 3, as he's not improved much - he's
been excellent for a few seasons now. Marler hasn't been as good
this season as the last two - but then he was simply superb in
those two seasons. I still wouldn't pick any Prem loosehead over
him. The rest seem not too contentious. I might disagree by + or
- 1 here or there, but it's a fair assessment.

I really wasn't being wilfully contrarian, although I can
understand why you might think that 🙂. I've looked at a
few of the OP's posts and they're not all slagging Quins players
and management off. Quite a few are but I think there's enough
to suggest that that isn't their sole raison d'être.
Anyway, I see you're now properly engaged with the original
theme of the thread. 😁👍

I found fewer than a handful actually positive about the club,
and those were all milquetoast "decent performance" style posts.
Presumably you saw the same. Surely you must find it incredibly
strange that a Quins fan talking about top Quins players and
coaches would primarily seek to have them leave the club and
only post criticism of them?

I didn't make a study of them but I'm not sure primarily is
accurate from my brief viewing. Anyway, there are always some
supporters like that. We've had far worse in the past.
Is 'bish' better or worse? 😁

Bish is also awful, yes. As was Nicksb.
These are not difficult questions...
