Appropriately enough the half ends with a bonus play that Pearce
kindly allows Saracens to have after we kick for touch, it's
40:01 on the clock, and just for extra information A GIANT GONG
SOUNDS TO SIGNAL TIME IS UP but he lefts them take a quick
lineout after that anyway
Is this what it's like for teams playing against us at HQ?
Referees just decide the team putting on the big show in the big
stadium should be treated like the Barbarians?

He said it crossed the line on 58! Chortle chortle… the massive
gong as the ball crossed the line was the clue Luke!

Yup. It's infuriating. Itoje halftway through the half was
allowed to be at full stretch putting his hands on the ball,
staring at the ref, for several seconds while Pearce tried to
convince him to stop - and it's just play on.
See also those offsides I genuinely couldn't spot on replay vs
Saracens being yards offside in midfield but it wasn't in the 22
so doesn't matter I guess?!
Pearce is having a nightmare. It's baffling to me how he didn't
see the giant forward pass for their opening try, or Goode's
blatant knock on before Care's yellow, or a number of just "what
on earth" offences he let slide for whatever reason. We were
always going to be up against today and it's dreadful that the
game has been ruined by such a one-sided refereeing display.
They're a really good team and they don't need the help!!

I didn't hear him say that. It's a lie, anyway. The ball has
just been kicked and is still rising in the air at :58, and they
played it at 40:01 (it's 40:02 when the ball is in flight from
the pass).
It didn't matter in the end but it's just another example of
giving them extra leeway for the hell of it. Gotta put on a
show!

Yes ref has been poor but we’re not doing much to change the
picture to him, also out famed attacking play is very very
ordinary and predictable.
On the plus side Louw is having a cracker.

Our fitness is appalling, we finished that half like it was
coming up to 80. Lethargic is probably the best way to describe
our attack, but why is that? All these players have been
playing, so it makes you question our coaching. On this seasons
results it’s a valid worry

I'd rather we get ourselves sorted before worrying about the
ref.
Basic skills are poor today. We just seem scared of Sarries tbh.
We just go to pot. We need to go out this second half and just
play our game. Will get no where playing scared

Saracens can do anything they like in this game. Anything. They
could shoot a man, play hockey instead of rugby, put up a net
across the pitch, lay mines on the pitch. Anything. Pearce would
allow it.
