If it's about setting the tone then Quins started the game
brilliantly tbh. I'm not absolving the coaching staff of
responsibility for our failings, but it's a little disappointing
that instead of acknowledging they did what you wanted at
halftime you shift the goalposts again.

Farrell wins the battle of the out halves apparently. 2 assists
for Smith, and another if David wasn't a mong. But hey, Farrell
       made no metres again.

And missed a ton of tackles in genuinely hilarious fashion at
       times.
Faz did look more lively than the international version - a
couple of really nice touches at times! And he made his kicks.
But Smith was a huge threat all game with plenty of end product
       to show for it.

Post BT team having a Saracens love in. BV was never MotM in a
100 years, a couple of nice touches but no barnstorming runs or
breaks. Ran into Dommers time and time again and was stopped.
Austin was even worse than usual.

I know I've said it before but the narrative building on BT is
becoming something else. Less about what actually happened and
       more about blasting a storyline.

Yeah. I mean ultimately it was this game or bust. We had to do
better, we had to beat them whether the ref offered equity or
not. Unfortunately our pathetic record over the past 8 games
       means that's almost certainly it.
We really need to tighten up a bit. We can't go from perfection
to idiocy and knocking easy balls on in the blink of an eye.
Dommers can't keep over-playing. We absolutely needed to hook
northmore well before halftime and bring beard on, march was
playing on the wing. That's on the coaches. We're probably the
second best team in the league all told, and we've massively
       underperformed this season.

Early doors we were great, but very quickly we started making
silly errors letting them back into it. I think our conditioning
was poor, so if you aren’t up to speed you make silly decisions
under pressure and I think that’s essentially our downfall, but
concerningly bar Northmore most have had regular game time

Yeah, they're basically indistinguishable from Sky Sports prior
to the BT switch now. Austin is particularly bad, he's desperate
to be making The Big Call all the time.
It's a real shame, they were a breath of fresh air when the
switch first happened. Billy got turned over a few times and his
carrying didn't really lead to much - Dombrandt made errors but
also won turnovers, made as many metres despite the drops, and
was running great lines. And scored a great try, natch. I don't
want to be churlish, I thought Billy played pretty well, but to
me someone like Lozowski should've gotten it - he bailed
Saracens out time and again in defence.

Why are we the second best team? Sale for example have a great
squad. There's a few teams massively underperforming this season
       tbh.

Perhaps. Some of that is the difference between excellent club
players and having a bevy of experienced internationals tbh. But
even so I don't think conditioning is what hurt us. The yellows
weren't due to that, it was brainfarts by players occasionally
prone to them (albeit one of them should never have been given
if the ref had working eyes). David is incredibly sharp, he
didn't drop it from lack of conditioning. Dombrandt's errors
weren't from tiredness, they were from him pushing it as much as
possible and getting it a tiny bit wrong as a result.
Saracens are a machine and they make everyone look pretty bad,
which can make it hard to judge where we're at.
