reading on the membership renewal I quote.
Jester price based on a seasonal cost of £50 for woman’s matches
and 16 Equally priced men’s fixtures.
I don’t won’t to watch women’s rugby why should i have to pay
for it.If i buy a woman’s ST that doesn’t entail me to watch
       men’s rugby !

For heaven's sake. I wonder how many people would pay the £50 if
       it were optional.
Presumably this will enable them to massage their joke
       attendance figures.

Yep, this is a real p take. If they are confident that people
want to go and watch the women play, they don't need to do this.
why not just say, if you want a women's season ticket and you
already have a men's one, we will offer a reduced price of £50.

One alternative way of looking at it is that people don't value
things they think they're getting for free. By putting a (pretty
low) price on the Women's games, they might encourage more
people to look into going to them.
Another alternative is to look at what that £50 means. Applied
across 8,000 STHs (which I think is roughly the number), that's
£400k, or enough to pay 13 players £30k to play full time (which
is less than some of the academy players are on - the new
Academy rules in the Salary Framework allow them to be paid up
       to £50k).

Quins are also offering a stand alone Women's membership for
       £40.

       No it's a piss take.
If it's a good enough product it should be able to sell its own
tickets. My family (2 rugby playing daughters, wife and I)
aren't interested as we don't think it's a good enough
       competition.

Yeah - this could be good value.
I am seriously thinking of ditching my main membership and
       taking this up instead.
I will then just buy single tickets for the Big Games + BSKO
(which are also usually the cheaper events)

So standalone women's membership is £40, but even though I don't
want to go I'd have to pay £50? How does that possibly make
       sense.
It might be true that people don't value things they think they
are getting for free, but I don't value something I have no
interest in just because I'm being conned into paying for it if
I want to go to see the rugby I am interested in.
Having to pay £50 towards the women's team wouldn't encourage me
to go and watch them anymore. It would just make me resent them
slightly. If they are confident in their product they shouldn't
need to force those with no interest in it to subsidise them

It's an asterisk to tell you how they've calculated the "Price
per men's fixture column". It's not saying that £50 of the
membership is going towards the Women's team. It's saying they
took the Jester price, deducted £50 for the Women's matches and
then divided the remaining by 16. Funnily enough they actually
haven't deducted the £50 from the calculation, so actually the
price per men's fixture is just the Jester price divided by 16.

But where are they getting 16 from?
10 Prem games, 2 Prem Cup and 2 Europe games doesn't add up to
       16?
