They've more than doubled the cost per game in 2 years and are
now more expensive than Chelsea with many more games.
Nobody does that thinking it's a reasonable proposition that
people aren't going to baulk at.
I know I'm far from the only person to have cancelled my
membership.

All of British rugby is paying the price of the impact of the
Saracens debacle. The expectations of salaries have been
disconnected from the realities of finances. It is that that is
Nigel Wray’s legacy on rugby.
This increase is terrible, we all recognise this. Coupled with
the twickenham issue, it’s even worse. Like most here, I donated
to the club in lockdown…I thought the club reflected the fans.
Sadly not.
The ground will be full, but the spirit further weakend.

Maybe they don’t want as many season ticket holders, as
mentioned on last two state of plays it’s far better for the
club to sell individual match tickets , and that’s all well and
good when you are selling out

I suspect they may be shocked by just how many they lose though.
It's also a big gamble, as it very much depends on the
performances on the pitch! I will never, ever forget being in
Ashton Gate for the semi-final, but if we see more performances
like the last foray down there, just how likely are they to keep
selling out the Stoop?

That's when our 4 season tickets went. Both my wife's name and
mine are on the "loyalty wall" behind the West Stand from 2004.
We took "Quins credits" in place of our membership for the
cancelled Covid season. But then got bumped the next season.
There is no way on hell we'll be paying the prices the club is
trying to get away with....

The obvious answer is that it's a gamble they feel they have to
take.

with Newcastle getting rid of some of there best players and in
deep financial trouble,and a lot of talk of Irish going to the
wall .Would we get an refund for another 2 games down or would
the club throw in another pointless fixture on a Thursday night
.Is this the reason ST renewals have been brought forward so if
those clubs go to the wall they already have our money.

I think that's definitely a factor, though it's probably fairer
to say that season tickets offered a deeper discount to the
standard ticket price than was sustainable. If people can afford
STs at the new rate, then they are happy for them to stay, but
if not then the club does make more money on individual ticket
sales.
