Expected, but maybe not to that extent. I imagine the Stoop will
still be a sell out as people will still pay it, but sadly I
think it will price a lot of fans out, thus making even adding
the few home games at the Stoop fairly elitist

"and our third Big Summer Kick-Off event in 2024, and it is our
intention to stage another double header at Twickenham Stadium,
with both our Men's and Women's teams taking the field.

I agree — I think it's just clumsy phraseology. I certainly hope
so!

This renewal process is also beginning/closing a month earlier
than last year. This season started on 10th September. With the
RWC, when will the Gallagher Premiership start? Is it postponed
until after the RWC final on 28th October? If so, it does seem
as though the club are maxing out the cashflow.

I'm pretty sure the fixtures will start after the completion of
the pool stages rather than after the knockout rounds.

In normal circumstances we happily go to both, but we already
plan to be away this Christmas/New Year. So automatically the
value of our season tickets are reduced this year.

When I had a moan about this a few weeks ago, plenty of people
leapt to the club's defence. It'll be interesting to see how
many of them continue to defend it after this utterly obscene
increase!!!
In my case - A 1+1 family touchline membership - the increase is
35%, and that's on top of the already significant increase last
season, and for fewer games!

That would make sense, but it still puts the start of the season
back to after 8th October. So, renewals one month earlier and
season starting one month later = 2 months extra cash bonus for
the club.

It's not confirmed when the season will start. The only hard
rule is World Rugby insist that not domestic top level fixtures
can take place *in the RWC host country* during the Pool stages.
In 2019, the Premiership started the day before the knock-out
stages of the 2019 RWC. In 2015, the same held true. In 2011,
the Premiership started 6 days before the 2011 RWC *pool stages*
began.
There will no doubt be discussions being held about this.
There's a benefit for having the Prem start earlier, as you can
have a clear break when the 6N comes around, putting the Prem
Cup in there instead, particularly as there will two fewer home
games for each team to have to fit in.

My understanding is that the Premiership season starts 13
October.

I suspect the magic 2,500 on the waiting list may not appear.
The price rises are large at a time when many people's finances,
even in SW London, are stretched. There are fewer games, the
European games are not as good as they used to be and the
"inclusion" of the women's matches takes the Mickey. If the
Tyrells 15s is such a good and popular competition they won't
have any trouble seeking the tickets separately will they....
(Oh hang on. It isn't popular and not many will buy them. They
generally seen to play to a fat less than full stadium as
basically admitted by the women's player interviewed after BG).
The 4 of us in my family won't be interested at those prices. I
imagine there will be plenty in the same boat. You don't need
too many families to decide "sod it" before their 2,500
disappear....

When I first signed up for membership, we got the following
weekend games:
Premiership Games...........................................10
European Cup Games........................................3
Premiership Rugby Cup Games...........................2
Games in the Concrete Mausoleum......................1
Total...............................................................16
Now, we're potentially only getting the following home weekend
games:
Premiership Games...........................................8
European Cup Games........................................2
Premiership Rugby Cup Games...........................0
Games in the Concrete Mausoleum.....................2
Non-competitive BaaBaas game.........................1
Total...............................................................13
I know not all of the changes are under Quins' control, but it
still feels like an outrageous increase in price per game,
especially given that I can now watch all the Prem and European
games on BT Sport or PRTV.
I really don't know whether I can justify the renewal. [emoji22]
