The RFU should've sacked Jones 2-3 years ago and given any new
coach the time to build a team for this RWC.

Certainly France would suit him

What is this based on? Last week Marcus said several times after
the game how much he enjoyed being back with his mates at Quins,
and from several interviews you can see how close he is to his
family who he visits quite a lot in Brighton. That would end if
he moved to France. Can't see him going anytime soon, maybe
later in his career.

We certainly speeded up when Mitchell arrived.

Sadly, Alex did not have a great game (along with the rest of
the back row).

Alex has been cutting it fine performance wise overall. His
Scotland game left him a bit to work to do, but I think Mercer
now is probably odds on to get a WC run. Personally I don’t
think Alex has nailed down his spot in the way maybe others have

The thread is titled "Eng/FRA Tickets open to general public"
Imagine if you had bought a last minute ticket at £184.00, how
long would that trudge back to the car/station/where ever have
been?

I had said I wasn't going to buy another England ticket until I
saw what Borthwick had done with them. I nearly weakened faced
with stories of tickets being available. Had I known the rugby
was going to be so good I might have regretted that I didn't go.
Fortunately the rugby was all played by France, but what rugby!
Think what a game we'd have seen if England had even been
competitive!
Result: my ban on England tickets remains. I'm no glory hunter.
I've bought tickets for and enjoyed many losing games, but
enough is enough.
