Harlequins� Men�s coaching team have named the matchday squad to
travel to Bristol Bears for Round 20 of Gallagher Premiership
action this Sunday, looking to continue their return to winning
ways after running in 40-5 winners over Exeter Chiefs at Big
Game 14 last Saturday.
There are three changes to the starting line-up as Quins travel
to Ashton Gate. After combining with Danny Care to score the try
of the day last week, Academy graduate hooker Sam Riley is
promoted to start in the front row as the sole change to the
pack.
Two changes come in the backline as Marcus Smith and Joe
Marchant return to international action this week, seeing Will
Edwards and Luke Northmore return to start at fly-half and
outside centre respectively.
A welcome sight amongst the Impact Players this week comes as
England international prop Will Collier returns to fitness
following a long spell on the sidelines. Named at 18, the Quins
double centurion will look to make an impact during the latter
stages of the game.
Quins continue to opt for a 6-2 split of forwards and backs
amongst the Impact Players this week, as Scott Steele and Oscar
Beard cover the backline while loose forward duo Will Evans and
Luke Wallace look to make a difference when they come on.
Previewing the fixture, Harlequins flanker James Chisholm said:
�Big Game last week was awesome and the win was exactly what we
needed in terms of the momentum we gained from the result. To
win in the fashion we did really added to the whole Big Game
experience.
�You look at the league table and how close everyone is and the
games themselves have been, and you see just how competitive
this season has been. Everyone is beating everyone. It�s a bit
of a free for all. We�re trying to work hard, pick up those wins
and break into that top four, see how high we can finish; and so
is everyone else, it�s just so competitive fighting for those
slots.
�We�re doing what we can to try and carry that momentum over
this week against Bristol and see what we can make of it. I
think we are in a great position for who we are, it really suits
us.�

If Edwards can come out firing like he has a few times for us,

Both sides close to full strength. Should be a good one to watch
but I�m nervous about Quins� chances.
Great to see Collier back - does that leave just Green and
Lynagh to return?

As good as we could put out.
The bookies see Bristol as favs, and probably rightfully so with
home advantage, but if we get quick ball at the rucks again who
knows. Our defense will be key as they have some big runners in
the backs.

On paper, there�s not much to choose between the two sides.
They�re a bit more settled, but for the most part, our changes
are positive ones with important players returning to fitness.
With Marler and Louw up against Lahiff and Thomas, I�d like to
think we�ll have an edge in the scrum which could be decisive.
I said this last week, for all Marcus� plaudits and our attack
firing, I actually thought our back row and our defence from
1-15 were massive parts of the result. If we can replicate that,
we can definitely win.
