Options at 10 v Bristol on Sunday

With Marcus and Tommy both playing in the 6N this week the 10
cupboard is almost bare... Who starts and who covers on Sunday
at Bristol?

Presumably Edwards will start with Andre as cover.
Not sure if David has ever played 10? Might be an emergency
option.

I think (may be wrong) he would still be a travelling reserve so
to speak. IE if Slade pulls up in the warmup he’s good to go.
I imagine Edwards, but if Benson is available would be handy to
have on the bench

Slightly knackers us really, can't Cardiff let us have the young
lad a few weeks early?
Edwards is ok, but I worry against Brizzle...

Some short memories in here. We won there last year with Edwards
at 10 and no backup. Put up 38 points and won 29-38x 5 league
points, and scored for fun. No England players on that occasion
either. Bench was Steele, Northmore, Lynagh.
Backup plan is probably a limited game plan with Marchant or
André there. As it is, Edwards has had a number of weeks
prepping for this knowing Marcus and Tommy would be away. It’s
why he’s there and he’s delivered the goods before.

Edwards has looked good on hard flat pitches when we're going
forward. His game management and kicking of the tee have been
erratic at times, but he's very capable ball in hand and we'll
be a threat in attack.
Looking forward to it. Bristol have gone back to a more
expansive game of late. It's normally a very entertaining
encounter between two attacking teams.
Marler and Louw are a challenge for anyone, and with Genge and
Sinckler away, we should have the edge up front.

My only concern about Edwards is his kicking from the tee. If
someone else can take that on (Andre?) that removes some
pressure and also means we might not miss points due to missed
kicks.
