Matchday at the Prinicipality....

Now....bit of back story....I've been going to Twickers for over
50 years, the last few as a Steward, been going to the Millenium
(whatever) for over 20 years... But yesterday something REALLY
became apparent.....there was VERY little movement during the
game, I didn't have to get up once to let someone out to get
beer...I saw ONE person carrying 4 pints.....and there was very
little mess under our seats after the game....So WHY is my
matchday experience SO different at Twickenham????????

Could be that beer is too expensive or that the people there are
rugby fans and don’t want to miss the game they have paid good
money to watch.

That’s very much not the norm at The Principality in my
experience. It has usually been even more of an massive pub than
Twickenham. Glad it was better though!

The Principality stadium bars shut after half time.
Also, plenty of opportunity for beers in the plethora of pubs
within 5 mins of the stadium before/after the match serving a
much better product than inside the stadium

Good to hear that things have improved since they started
shutting the bars at half-time. I stopped going to the
"judgement day" double headers as it had become extremely
unsavory there.

May have mentioned this before but we were on our way to Cardiff
Arms Park for a game once and upon hearing my daughters English
accent some locals were heard to say" lets get tooled up, boys,
the English !**!* are here". After the game we were chased out
of Cardiff in our Car by a mini-bus full of Welsh lads until we
got onto the M4 who then overtook us and all did a full mooney
as they went past. Scared the girls a bit. The upshot was
hilarious as no more than one mile later the roadworks narrowed
the Motorway down to one lane only on the hard shoulder and we
found ourselves immediately behind them in the queue....
