According to todays TRP Ealing holding talks to merge/takeover
Ospreys
To join URC and will play games in London

Has to be approved by the RFU which I doubt will happen.

Personally, I would love to see this happen. A URC club up the
road would add additional variety to the locality & could
increase Rugby following too.

How many different countries now are represented in the URC?
For Me this potentially change the rugby structure in the next
few years...I personally don't like it, like an earlier poster
said the RFU wouldn't sanction this...would they ?

World rugby rules. URC can do what they like in Wales, Ireland,
Scotland and South Africa because all their unions have
sanctioned it but not in England without RFU approval.

If nothing else, it's a clever bit of brinkmanship to throw at
the RFU.
Having said that, whilst I feel for Ealing, are they really a
viable option for the Prem, given that they can't seat more than
about 3,500?
Also, obviously absolutely not their fault, and not something
that should stop their promotion, but 3 Prem clubs within 10
miles in West London?
