Crikey, this pretty much reveals our age doesn't it! In
chronological order just about:
Jimmy Greaves, Pat Jennings, Alan Knott, David Duckham, Fran
Cotton, David Steele, Alan Lamb.....and then I grew too old to
dream.

Yeah 😁!
Grandstand, World of Sport, Pot Black and Match of the Day/Big
Match were regular features on my grandfather's tv, in black and
white of course!

Big one for me as a kid was Brian Jacks, as I did Judo & he was
the first major Judoka to get name recognition on TV.

Guscott for me. I remember watching an old VHS of the '89 Lions
tour and seeing his chip and chase to score - pretty sure that's
what made me fall in love with rugby.

He was but wasn't it because of Superstars rather than Judo?
